A Storm Has Arrived: A New Era of the Chevy Bolt for 2027
Do you hear that? The deep rumblings of thunder and the approaching dark clouds are signaling a coming storm. And a storm on the horizon is often followed by the beautiful strike of a lightning bolt…
A Chevy Bolt, in this case.
The Chevy Bolt has made a bold comeback for 2027 after four years, and by the looks of it, it’s already making its mark. In fact, Car and Driver has ranked the 2027 Chevy Bolt as #1 in Best Electric Subcompact SUVs, above competitors like the Nissan Leaf and the Volvo EX30.
We’ll highlight the 2027 Chevy Bolt EV’s range, performance, design, and features below, so you can find out if this electric car is right for you.

A New Take on What It Means to Be Bold: The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt Design
A lightning strike is unmistakable and eye-catching — and so is the 2027 Bolt’s exterior design.
The Bolt sports a new front and rear fascia, complete with new lighting, and is outfitted with gloss black outside mirrors and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
If its design didn’t grab your attention, its bold color palette certainly will. Four fun new paint colors join the lineup, each more daring than the last, and are featured alongside classics like Summit White, Mosaic Black Metallic, and Sterling Gray Metallic.
Drivers who dare to walk on the wild side will love the bright new additions to the Bolt exterior paint color options list. You can take your pick from the following new shades:
- Relic Green Metallic
- Marina Blue Metallic
- Atomic Yellow
- Habanero Orange
Under the Hood: Power & Performance Features
The 2027 Chevy Bolt brings the latest GM EV technology to your daily drive. When you hit the open road, you can expect an EPA-estimated 262 miles of electric range.1
Take on every mile with 210 horsepower and 169 pound-feet of torque, and when it’s time to recharge, you can charge your Bolt faster than ever, thanks to the new battery and standard NACS DC port.
In fact, when you utilize DC public fast charging, you can charge your Bolt 2.5 times faster than the last Bolt!2 With a GM-estimated 10%-80% charging time of 25 minutes (with DC public fast charging),3 your Bolt will be ready to hit the road again shortly.
A Closer Look at the 2027 Chevy Bolt Price & Trim Levels
